Birds Kutilang



Cucak Kutilang or Kutilang is a kind of tribal Pycnonotidae birds chirp. This bird called Sooty-headed Bulbul, Pycnonotus while its scientific name is aurigaster, referring to the fur around the orange ass. The sound is very melodious finches. The character of the robin-sized body that is 20 cm. Black hat. Tunggir whitish. Upside-down yellow orange. Black chin and head over. Collar, tunggir, chest, and abdomen white. Black wings. Brown tail. Iris red, black beak, black legs.
Cucak finches often visit places open, sidewalk, garden, yard, scrub and secondary forest, up to an altitude of about 1,600 meters above sea level. Finches live in groups of active and noisy, both when looking for food and perch, with its own kind and the type merbah another, or even with other bird species.
Finches have a habit of sunbathing and bathing dew every morning, it is useful to keep a hold on the oiled feathers. This oil comes from the back near the tail end associated with the body.
Finches also have the moult period during which the old hair falls out and a new molt. At the moult finches are more likely both sound and silent movement. Cucak finch nests of woven cup-shaped blade of grass, leaf stalks or twigs is smooth. The eggs are two or three points, colored pink and purple speckled gray. Recorded nesting throughout the year except November, with a peak from April to September.
The robin is widespread in southern China and Southeast Asia except Malaysia, Java and Bali. Introductions: Sumatra, Kalimantan, South Sulawesi.
